Thank you for joining us on this journey to fund critical upgrades to our facility that will lay the foundation for our next 25 years and beyond as we look to grow and diversify how we serve the ever-increasing Boise metropolitan community.
SETTING THE STAGE
From the beginning, our Setting the STage campaign was never about just BCT. Through your support, your investment will be felt throughout the community: in our sister arts and culture organizations with whom we have deep ties and robust collaborations; in young artists whose voices will be the next generation of theater makers; in the writers, poets, artists, musicians and storytellers across the Treasure Valley.
As an inclusive and collaborative theater, we see first hand the power of stories. We see how they foster meaningful conversations, and challenge one’s perspectives. We see how they teach empathy through deeper context. In setting this next stage for BCT, we note only want to hold a mirror up for people to examine their own perspectives; we also want to provide a window into unfamiliar stories and unknown worlds.
With your generous support, we will lay the foundation for BCT and for Boise.

25 YEARS OF TELLING STORIES
As the only nonprofit professional contemporary theater within 300 miles, Boise Contemporary Theater has excelled at producing challenging new work since 1997. Lear more about what we do HERE.
This capital campaign provides us the opportunity to EXPAND THE BCT EXPERIENCE for actors, students and theater-goers for decades to come.
TRANSFORM OUR THEATER SPACE
Replacing our current (very old) seats with new modular seating will allow us to reconfigure the audience in ways that our patrons have never experienced. It will also help expand the vision of each director on how they can present any of our MainStage productions making it a more creative and collaborative experience for them, and putting BCT squarely in the national conversation of where artists want to work.
INVEST IN EDUCATION AND PRODUCTION SPACES
Revamp and update our education and production spaces to make them efficient and effective for our seasonal productions, classes, special events and rentals, and welcoming for our visiting artists and full-time staff.
CONNECTING BOISE THROUGH BCT
BCT is the performing arts destination in the BODO district. By expanding our indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, we can provide social and meeting spaces throughout the week in addition to our MainStage productions, educational classes and vibrant reading series.
